The 2004-2006 crisis in the soy sector is over, as prices have reached an all time high in recent months. As a result, the three year decline in deforestation is over. Per Reuters, deforestation in Brazil, the second largest soy producer after the United States, has increased to a rate of 434 square miles per month.
