hi

I’m Diana Hardeman. = dihard. Founder & ceo of MilkMade Ice Cream, a craft ice cream business in New York City. We make killer ice cream in unique flavors with the best local ingredients, and distribute via a monthly membership delivery service. Members have told me that MilkMade is the best part about living in New York City. I’ll take it.

Before this I was eating a pint of ice cream a night while earning my MBA at NYU Stern. That’s when I started writing this blog, What I Learned Today, sharing with friends what I was learning every day in the midst of the subprime crisis. Now I think I’ll write less about finance and more about my adventures - in ice cream, brand building, entrepreneurship, health, trying to be a good person, what have you.

Before coming to New York, I was a healthcare consultant at Triage Consulting Group, based in San Francisco and Atlanta. I traveled the country trying to help hospitals with their financials, and spent my spare time exploring new cities and practicing photography

And before all that, I studied business at the Haas undergrad program at UC Berkeley, while learning the ins and outs of restauranteering at La Note. If you’re ever in Berkeley, brunch at La Note is highly recommended. Get the Brioche Pain Perdu.

I grew up in Orange County, California and spent my weekends surfing at the beach with my family. When possible, I try to do the same here in New York.
